Friday April 13 the Illinois River Valley Arts Council kicks off a new ArtWalk season in downtown CJ. This will be a big event! 15 businesses participating with a featured artists, music, or special dinner menu for ArtWalk:  Bagel Junction (dinner, watercolors), BeBe's (75 artists), Brown Barn Launderette (stained glass and sheep mural), Changes Gallery (now at 144 S. Redwood Hwy where Time Capsule used to be, presenting Granda Aggie's video and book-signing), Darn Near Everything (explore the art of recycling at CJ's only dept. store), Evergreen Bank (oil paintings), Eye Care Group (oil paintings), Jefferson State Financial (in the bright green bldg, wildflower paintings and reception), IV Senior Thrift Store (art display and toys for kids), Nacho Mamas (music, dinner), Pizza Pit (music and Asian art), Rising Suns (iron art), Sassy's/Time Capsule (soy candles inside, fire dancing outside), Special Productions (lamps, gifts), Sterling Bank (oil paintings), Taylor's Country Store (dinner, music, pottery exhibit), Upstairs Art Gallery (above liquor store and Bagel Junction) free Foris wine tasting and art displays).  Free brochures listing each artist and venue are available at participating businesses and in the IV News ad.
