So they've officially decided to close the skatepark...What's next?

This is a call to action for the members of Cave Junction to join together to form something for our youth to be proud of.

I run a gymnastics program in town called Gymnastics Revolution, my aim is to start a full youth center that offers a wide range of classes, and focuses on developing our young people to become the best people they can be.

Our community is so lacking in these vital resources and very few have the time, energy, or money to travel to Grants Pass for these services.  Our youth needs something right here, right now.  We must stand up and do something before we create a reality that we will later regret.

I know that time is a scarce thing, and that the project I'm proposing is not an easy one, and has in fact been tried by many before, but does that mean that we give up...Throw our hands in the air?  No, it means you fight harder and smarter.

I'm not ready to give up, are you?  I ask anyone who would like to be of help, or has resources, or even just information, to contact me.  Let's show our youth what can happen if people stand up and demand what the deserve.

That really stinks, you would think that big old lumber mill on 199 would donate the wood to rebuild the skate park for are kids.

Out of curiousity, I was wondering if you have thought to approach the I.V. Chamber of Commerce for help concerning this issue.  It appears to be one of the kinds of issues they involve themselves in.
